Matcha Smoothies, Matcha Lattes, Matcha Oreos. It’s almost impossible to come across a food blog (or even Pinterest) and not find at least one Matcha recipe. For those of you who don’t yet know this wonderful superfood, my friend Paul from Purechimp sells it on a daily basis, so he was kind enough to write you a little summary of all the great benefits:
“Matcha is a green tea full of valuable antioxidants, amino acids, vitamins and minerals. It helps you stay focused, detoxifies, supports and strengthens your immune system.”
Of course I decided to try out a recipe myself. As Matcha can be quite bitter when you’re not used to it yet I paired it with sweet white chocolate. I simply melted the white chocolate, mixed in some matcha and drizzled it with dark chocolate and crispy coconut flakes for texture. Just put it in the fridge for about half an hour, done! The finished product not only looks great, but also tastes nothing like Matcha and still gives you the benefits while indulging. Top!
