As you might have noticed by now, I love getting creative with my nails for special occasions. As it is the 1st of December, I am officially allowed to be in a Christmas mood so I got started on some Christmas nail design ideas. Although snowflakes, reindeer or little Santas are cute to look at, I decided to go for something a bit more simple and classy. Working with Christmas colours gold, silver and red I came up with a classic gold tip, a silver ombre and a full red sparkle version. They are all easy and only take a few minutes. Let me know what you think and Merry (pre)Christmas!
Gold Tip: Paint your nails in a neutral colour of your choice, use 2 layers if necessary. Using a smooth gold nail polish (no big glitter pieces) and carefully apply a golden french tip.
Silver Ombre: Start by painting a grey french tip and let it dry. It doesn’t need to be perfect! Using a thick silver glitter nail polish cover your tips first, then carefully drag pieces towards the nail, creating a soft ombre effect. Finish with a shiny top coat.
Red Sparkle: First paint your nails in a darker red colour to build a foundation, otherwise the red glitter would look pink on your plain nails. Finally apply a mixed red glitter nail polish (big and small glitter pieces).
